I have very fine, thin, slightly wavy hair. The first few times I used this iron, I liked it. I read several flat iron reviews before purchasing a new flat iron and decided to go with this one. The reviews seemed to be true...it made my hair silky. However, after the first handful of uses, it has made my hair very dry and increases my split ends and breakage drastically. I always use a product to protect my hair from heat tools before using this or other irons, but it doesn't seem to help much with this iron. Even though it does straighten my hair well, it makes my hair feel like straw (not attractive looking either!)

I bought this item at the end of January, and it was great while it worked. I have very fine hair, so I always kept it on the lowest heat setting. Unfortunately, as of about two weeks ago it stopped working! Very disappointed. -- Stopped working after 2 months.

I bought this product at Wal-Mart and I'll admit the infused avocado oil was a big selling point for me. It worked wonders at first but it did leave my hair with a funny smell (maybe the infused oils?) After a few months, I noticed that it wasn't getting as hot as it did when I first bought it. Today, it stopped working all together. I know it has a 4-year warranty, but who saves all of that stuff? I won't be purchasing a Remington ever again. The $20 straighteners I've purchased from Wal-Mart in the past did the job and lasted much longer. -- Stopped working after a few months

I have naturally curly hair and I was a bit skeptical about trying yet another product that claimed to work. But I love it! I only have to go over each section once! I highly recommend it! -- LOVE IT!

I read a lot of reviews on flat irons before purchasing this one. It has so many good reviews, and the price was pretty good. I bought this last week, and this week, it's going back. My 2 year old $15 Andis flat iron from Walmart still out does this product. My Andis makes my hair smooth and straight, this thing made my hair look like I stuck my finger in a light socket!!
