I bought my Kiyoseki pro over three years ago and never had any problems with it-until I stepped on it. It always worked-I got tons of compliments on my hair-even from guys and it stayed straight for days. Even in New Orleans where the humidity is off the charts my hair always stayed soft and straight. Now I want to order another one but I entered a review site and everyone else says that they had problems with it. Even though I never did I’m afaid to order a new one in case something goes wrong with it. Did anyone have a good experience with this straightner?

I own a Kiyoseki. I have African American curly hair. This is the best flat iron ever! This flat iron worked on my curls by far better than the Chi that I owned prior to this flat iron. I wash my hair once or twice a week, when I have finished flat ironing my hair, I look like I just left the salon. My hair is healthy, down to the middle of my back, shiny, flowing, it withstands humidity. Because it works so well, I have not had to relax my hair in just short of a year, so I have grown out my relaxer. It has grown and it is so much stronger and not breaking off because of the natural state.

I offer the rating of 3 because I washed and was almost finished flat ironing my hair straight today, and my Kiyoseki just stopped working. So I had to go out today with half flat ironed, half blow dryed hair (looking foolish LOL!). I have had my Kiyoseki for about 16 months now. I did not opt for the warranty because I didn’t anticipate that this would happen in such a short time.
You best believe I have already ordered another one today with the warranty, which was only an additional $10 for 2 years. I still highly recommend this product because of how well it has performed for me.
Based on the reviews, if the company gives that much trouble, I don’t recommend the 4 year warranty. But I have seen reviews where the women were able to get replacements for their defective product.
